ABOUT US

To take part in the continued life of piña weaving in Aklan by holding space for thoughtful exchange between tradition and contemporary practice. At Haboean, we aim to sustain and evolve this craft through a space that connects heritage weaving, contemporary art, and cultural work that is supporting intergenerational knowledge, slow making, and grounded, responsive practice.

Haboean is a welcoming space where tradition and new ideas come together. At the heart of it is piña weaving, a craft we carry with care. It’s a place for cultural work that’s rooted in daily life, where people gather to create, share, eat, and reflect with presence and purpose.
