Held at Haboean Weaving Studio and Cafรฉ, PAGTATAP was a day of exhibitions and dialogue centered on environmental conservation. The event was presented by PhilinCon in partnership with Aklan Trekkers Inc., with support from the Darwin Initiative and Bristol Zoological Society.
As part of the program, Aklan Trekkers Inc. curated a photo exhibit that highlighted the biodiversity of Aklan and Panay, placing a special focus on the Northwest Panay Peninsula Natural Park (NPPNP). The exhibit also formed part of the #BiodiversityOctober campaign, emphasizing the ecological and cultural value of Aklanโs remaining rainforests.
This collaboration marked an important step in ongoing efforts to protect the NPPNP, the Aklan River Watershed Forest Reserve (ARWFR), the Central Panay Mountain Range (CPMR), and the broader natural environment.
